Biomass Fuel Handling solution delivered to Jönköping, Sweden

Jönköping Energi AB is a municipal energy producer and supplier in the city of Jönköping in Sweden. The Torsvik power plant consists of two power boilers of 100 MWth each delivering both electricity and district heating. The latest unit built in 2014 is operating on biomass, mainly forest residues such as branches, treetops and roots but also wood based industrial residues such as bark, wood fines etc.

The Fuel Handling Plant consists of a truck receiving unit, a fuel quality control unit with metal separation, particle size screening and oversized crusher, an automatic storage system consisting of two 5000 m3 silos with TYRANNOSAURUS® Rotating Screw Reclaimers, and a boiler feeding conveyor system.
