Automated reclaiming and consistent material flow from every storage type
TYRANNOSAURUS® screw reclaimers handle biomass fuels, SRF, RDF, sludge and other solid materials from silos, A-frame storages and open piles. Typical applications include heat and power plants, pulp and paper mills, cement plants, recycling and waste management, and chemical production plants.
Uninterrupted material flow from storage to the next process stage is critical to your operation. An underperforming discharger often causes problems downstream, such as inconsistent feed, process instability and unplanned downtime. TYRANNOSAURUS® screw reclaimers are built around BMH’s intelligent storage and conveying solutions, forming a solid basis for any material handling system.
TYRANNOSAURUS® reclaimers collect material from every storage layer and homogenise quality and moisture as they discharge, supported by BMH’s constant torque application and frequency converter control that adjust the reclaimer to changing process demand.
BMH screw reclaimers adapt to your process in a range of situations. As part of a new plant, we can deliver a complete storage and reclaiming solution, from the silo structure and foundation interfaces to the reclaimer itself. TYRANNOSAURUS® screw reclaimers can also be installed in existing storage solutions to replace other dischargers. We also provide long-term service that keeps your current screw reclaimer running through relinings and screw refurbishments.
TYRANNOSAURUS® Screw reclaimers: Engineered for optimal material flow and long service life
Cantilever rotating screw reclaimers – TYRANNOSAURUS® LPE Serie
The TYRANNOSAURUS® LPE series is designed for automatic discharging from round silos and open piles. LPE is the most flexible reclaimer type in the TYRANNOSAURUS® family, adjusting to the characteristics of different solid bulk materials such as biomass fuels, pellets and SRF. Installed at the centre of a round silo or open pile, LPE reclaimers collect material from every storage layer, homogenising quality and moisture before it leaves the storage.
Every LPE reclaimer is custom-designed to the specific silo, material and capacity. The ten models in the LPE series (LPE10 to LPE60) cover silo diameters from 3 to 30 metres, volumes from 30 to 13,000 m³ and capacities from 10 to 1,200 m³/h. BMH has delivered over 400 rotating screw reclaimers worldwide since 1978.

Conical bottom silo reclaimers – TYRANNOSAURUS® LPC serie
The TYRANNOSAURUS® LPC Series is designed for automatic discharging from conical bottom silos. LPC is a 100% electric, cost-effective alternative to LPE, built on a philosophy of Low Lifecycle Cost for materials that do not require heavy-duty discharge capabilities but still need mechanical assistance in unloading. Installed at the centre of the conical silo bottom, LPC works together with a metering screw that controls the discharge capacity, eliminating ratholing and bridging to keep pellets, wood shavings, feed, powders, grains and other bulk materials flowing consistently.
Every LPC reclaimer is custom-designed to the specific silo, material and capacity. The four models in the LPC series (LPC10 to LPC25) cover silo diameters from 3 to 11 metres and capacities up to 500 m³/h.

Cantilever traversing screw reclaimers – TYRANNOSAURUS® LPD Serie
TYRANNOSAURUS® LPD Serie is the versatile traversing reclaimer for A-frame storages, rectangular silos, receiving bins and open piles, suitable for solid biomass fuels, SRF and other bulk materials. Installed on parallel rails in a machinery tunnel, the reclaiming screw extends across the full width of the storage. As the reclaimer travels slowly under the material pile, the rotating screw pulls material toward the discharge chute at the reclaimer's centre, collecting from every layer and homogenising quality and moisture before the material leaves the storage.
Every LPD reclaimer is custom-designed to the specific storage, material and capacity. The cantilever design allows several LPD reclaimers to operate on the same tracks, doubling the reclaiming width from 8–18 m to 18–36 m. The four models in the LPD series (LPD40 to LPD60) cover storage volumes from 1,000 to 30,000 m³, reclaiming widths from 5 to 13 metres, and capacities from 80 to 600 m³/h. BMH has delivered over 150 traversing screw reclaimers worldwide since 1978.

Traversing screw reclaimers – TYRANNOSAURUS® LPA Series
The TYRANNOSAURUS® LPA serie is the traversing reclaimer for the largest A-frame storages, rectangular silos and open piles, suitable for solid biomass fuels, SRF and other bulk materials. LPA reclaimers are supported from both ends of the screw, with rail and drive arrangements in the machinery tunnel also at the free end of the screw. This enables the biggest possible storage volumes and reclaiming widths up to 18 metres. As the reclaimer travels slowly under the material pile, the rotating screw pulls material toward the discharge chute, collecting from every layer and homogenising quality and moisture before the material leaves the storage.
Every LPA reclaimer is custom-designed to the specific storage, material and capacity, and several LPA reclaimers can operate on the same tracks. The three models in the LPA series (LPA50 to LPA70) cover storage volumes from 20,000 to 150,000 m³, reclaiming widths from 7 to 18 metres, and capacities from 100 to 800 m³/h. BMH has delivered LPA reclaimers to A-frame storages of up to 100,000 m³.

Retrofit TYRANNOSAURUS® reclaimers to your existing storage
When an existing discharger no longer meets your capacity, material or reliability needs, a TYRANNOSAURUS® screw reclaimer can often be retrofitted into your current silo, A-frame storage or open pile setup.
BMH engineers the retrofit around your existing storage. For most silo installations, this means removing the old foundation interface, fitting a new BMH foundation ring, and installing the TYRANNOSAURUS® reclaimer sized for your storage volume and material. Wear-resistant linings and screw teeth are selected specifically for the material you handle, ensuring the retrofit performs as reliably as a new installation.
For customers with existing BMH or third-party reclaimers still in operation, we also carry out full refurbishments. This can include removing worn linings and welding new ones in place, replacing screw teeth and restoring screw threads, extending the service life of a screw reclaimer.
Our specialists help you assess the best solution for your storage and material, restoring capacity and reliable operation without the disruption of a full rebuild.
