BMH supplies a biomass fuel handling system to Jämtkraft in Sweden

BMH Technology Oy has signed a contract with Jämtkraft AB for the delivery and installation of a biomass fuel handling system to Lugnvik, Östersund in Sweden. The system will be part of a new heat and power plant that will use waste wood and forest residues as its fuel.

In short, the delivery by BMH consists of a 1500 m3 receiving hopper equipped with two screw reclaimers, a fuel quality control station including magnetic separation of metals and screening of oversized material, an emergency feeding pocket and a conveying system to the boiler’s day silo. All auxiliary equipment as well as electrification are also included in the delivery. The capacity of the system is 240 m³/ h.
“BMH will deliver important parts for our new heat and power plant, which we are building to secure renewable heat to our customers in Östersund and to enable the city to grow further. Our previous experiences of cooperation with BMH are good and we look forward to working together in this project”, says Ulf Lindqvist, Business Area Manager of Jämtkraft Värme.
The fuel handling system will be delivered and installed during 2023 and the facility will be taken over in the beginning of 2025. The total order value is approximately 6M€.
