Biomass Fuel Handling Solution is customized to fit the requirements of Power Plants. Solutions by BMH Technology are made with long experience and deep know-how. Biomass Fuel Handling solutions consist of receiving and biomass crushing, screening, metal separation, over-sized crushing, sample taking, storage, conveying and feeding systems, all delivered for the required scope and layout.

The receiving system is designed to fit the mode of transportation. BMH receiving solutions can receive fuel from tucks, trains and ships. The receiving stations are designed to operate in a reliable, safe and dust-free method.

The quality control equipment is installed in a compact screening house. This part of the process includes sample taking, metal separation, size screening, oversize crushing and optional stone separation.

Advanced Sampling Unit can be installed to the process to make sure that the suppliers are paid according to the real quality of the material or to examine the quality of the fuel for optimizing own processes. The Sample taking solution from BMH Technology is fully automated and EU-standardized to provide comprehensive samples from the material.

TYRANNOSAURUS® line separates ferrous metals with a magnet. After separation, these metals can be further refined to recycled raw materials.

Screening is essential to ensure suitable fuel quality for the burning process. TYRANNOSAURUS® BioScreens provide a reliable and cost-effective way to separate oversize material from the fuel flow. TYRANNOSAURUS® BioScreens are developed based on conventional disc screens with flexible modular design and innovative purpose-built performance. They have compact and dust tight design and self-cleaning feature. TYRANNOSAURUS® BioScreens can be used for variety of solid fuels, such as woodchips, bark, pellets, peat, coal and Solid Recovered Fuel.

A substitute to TYRANNOSAURUS® BioScreen can be TYRANNOSAURUS® Star Screen, which has flexible stars to avoid clogging and jamming. The oversize particles can be crushed by TYRANNOSAURUS® Oversize Crusher and then returned back into the process. The fines can be separated from the fuel with TYRANNOSAURUS Pocket FinesScreen.

TYRANNOSAURUS® BioCrushers are optimal for secondary crushing of screened oversize material to ensure suitable quality of the end product. Extremely robust rotors with changeable teeth crush oversize material in a safe and economical way. The crusher is designed to minimize overheating and sparking. Turnable teeth with screw fastening enable fast and easy maintenance. TYRANNOSAURUS® BioCrushers are available with one-rotor or two-rotor design and various drive alternatives to fit different capacity and in-feed material requirements.

The conveying systems from BMH Technology are designed to fit individual layout requirements of each site and plant. The conveyors are designed as safe and free of dusting to protect the transported material.
8. Storage
8. Storage
BMH storage solutions are the outcome of intense product development. They have several unique features that constitute an outstanding solution. First of all, the storage building comes in a compact layout. It does not require a lot of horizontal space, yet it has a large storage volume. Secondly, the storage is a completely closed structure, which means it creates no smell, dust or spillage. The third advantage is related to the fuel flow in and out of the storage. The silo has a first in - first out working principle, which not only secures the fuel quality but also increases safety by significantly reducing the risk of self-combustion. Fourthly comes homogenizing the fuel quality. As fuel layers piling up in the storage are seldom equal in terms of general quality or moisture, it is vital to get a good mixture of all the layers. Thanks to the structure of the silo and rotating screw reclaimer on the bottom of it, the general quality as well as the moisture content within the fuel are balanced. Finally, the fifth advantage of the silo is providing an even and controlled material flow. The reclaiming is automated and adapted to the requirements set by the following process. The structure of the storage is designed to prevent the fuel from forming an arch. This guarantees a constant material flow for the screw reclaimer.

TYRANNOSAURUS® Pre-shredders are ideal solution for rough shredding. They are especially designed to open plastic bags, to prepare waste for organics separation and to increase the capacity of the entire process. TYRANNOSAURUS® Pre-shredders are also available for main shredding of waste in grate fired incinerators. TYRANNOSAURUS® Pre-shredders can work in demanding conditions for rough shredding and with high water content materials. The knives of the shredder are easily exchangeable and therefore maintenance is fast.
